Jack Plummer Tryout: Steelers Consider New QB
Update: 2025-12-17
Description
The Pittsburgh Steelers are considering Jack Plummer, a former Carolina Panthers quarterback, for a practice squad spot. Plummer, an undrafted free agent, played against the Steelers in the preseason and completed seven of fourteen passes for forty-eight yards. He also threw one interception but connected for a touchdown. Plummer is one of nine players trying out for the Steelers, including Hendon Hooker and J. J. Galbreath. The Steelers recently released John Rhys Plumlee from their practice squad, suggesting they might be looking for a new player to help run the scout team during practices.
