The college athletics landscape is changing rapidly. In order to help young people stay ahead of the curve, I've gathered data, interviewed countless athletes and coaches, and created methodology to help athletes not just get recruited to the college of their dreams, but flourish once there. I teach young people all about GEAR: a transformative framework designed to cultivate four specific qualities that college coaches look for in recruits. GROWTH-ORIENTED: Demonstrate a mindset of continuous improvement that is contagious on the recruiting trail. ENGAGED: Communicate with coaches across multiple mediums and leave a lasting impression. AWARE: Navigate the recruiting landscape with a deep understanding of their own strengths and limitations. This understanding also guides them towards the correct fit. READY: Put in place a winning attitude that will dominate the physical, mental, and emotional challenges ahead. I can't do the work for a high schooler; truthfully, nobody can. But I can teach them and their parents EXACTLY what work needs to be done to make them stand out in a competitive field.
