I've known Jayson Acevedo since we met at Dark Matter on Belmont in Chicago in 2015 when they used to have an open mic. I remember it because not only does Jayson Acevedo leave an impression, but because we immediately started talking about mutual friends we had in the Paris, France comedy scene.

Jayson is a dynamic, hilarious, and big-hearted guy. He works the road, he records his own specials, he does shows all over, and he grinds.

The guy's work ethic is really something to admire, and his stage presence is unmistakable. He's hilarious and a ton of fun while he's up there.

I really enjoyed chatting with him in what was really an overdue conversation about life, comedy in Chicago, and how to overcome the haters (they real).
