Jesus warns: False Christs will appear in the last days

Jesus says, in the end times, "false Christs" will appear in "secret chambers", which I believe to be private areas in homes such as bedrooms, I believe some church people will report seeing Jesus appear to them in their "chamber".
Just all of a sudden there will be a human type figure which will display himself as Jesus and the person will believe it is Jesus appearing, but it will be a false Christ.
Jesus warns us as follows:
Matthew 24
23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
25 Behold, I have told you before.
26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, HE is in the desert; go not forth: behold, HE is in the secret chambers; believe it not.
(If anyone comes saying, "I saw Jesus in my bedroom," believe it not!)
27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
When I attended the church group Word of Faith in the early 1980's, individuals often came saying they had seen an angel. I always wondered about this for they never told any message sent by the angel or anything that angel did. I felt their visions might be conjured from their own minds.
Paul warns:
Colossians 2:18 Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
