Jets Sign Vet DL Saunders, Boosting Defense
Update: 2025-11-17
Description
The New York Jets have added defensive lineman Khalen Saunders to their roster, bringing a veteran presence and depth to their defensive line. Saunders, a third-round draft pick by the Kansas City Chiefs in 2019, played in 38 games with 5 starts, contributing to their Super Bowl wins in 2019 and 2022. He later played for the New Orleans Saints from 2021-2022, starting 27 games. After being traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars in August, Saunders was waived and signed with the Jets. With 184 tackles, 7 tackles for loss, and 6.5 sacks in his career, Saunders experience could significantly impact the Jets defense.
