Description
Today, the crown jewels stolen from the Louvre were estimated to be worth more than $100 million. While prosecutors are confident they will catch the thieves, they fear the jewels will be lost forever. The heist marks the most brazen robbery at the 230 year old institution since the Mona Lisa was stolen in 1911.
