As a lawyer, a diplomat, and the second President of the United States, John Adams is one of the most significant and complex figures in American history. He was instrumental in the push for independence and the shaping of the new nation. Like so many people we discuss here on Lantern Lessons, John Adams too is often overshadowed by his more famous contemporaries, yet he was a cornerstone in the creation of the United States and deserves our utmost respect.
