Description

John McFee has played with everyone from Van Morrison to Elvis Costello to Rick James…but have you heard of Jackdawg?

Jackdawg was the band John formed in 1990 along with fellow ex-Doobie Brother Keith Knudsen and former CCR-man Stu Cook. Their one album sank without a trace in 1990, but know its got a second life after a reissue…on vinyl for the first time.

The 13th Floor’s Marty Duda spoke to John McFee about making that album, and his time spent in England in the 1970s, where his band, Clover, was hugely respected, so much so that they backed Elvis Costello on his debut album, My Aim Is True.
