Joining me on the program today is the multi-talented Mark Stevens from Mancos, Colorado, an award winning author who has also worked as a reporter and national television news producer. I’m excited to be speaking with him about the upcoming Mesa Verde Literary Festival happening all around the town of Mancos on Saturday, July 12th from 9:00 am until 8:00 pm. The event is FREE to attend. This will include 50 guest authors from around the country including Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, Arizona, California, Wyoming, Montana, Missouri, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Vermont and Pennsylvania who will be celebrating a day of readings, talks, panels, teen workshops, book signings and sales. This will include 40 individual presentations by authors and 11 panels discussing a variety of genres of writing highlighting non-fiction, poetry, memoir and fiction in a variety of genres including literary, mystery, thriller, horror, young adult and romance. The keynote speakers will be award winning author Pam Houston together with Diné author and poet Byron Aspaas at Fenceline Cider at 5pm and Tim Weed who has a also won many awards for his writing and who will be speaking at the Mancos Opera House at 7pm.
