Jon M. Chu, known for directing Crazy Rich Asians and In the Heights, has signed a multi-year deal with Paramount Skydance. His production company, Electric Somewhere, will develop films and TV shows for the studio. Chu, along with the Duffer Brothers, James Mangold, and Will Smith, joins Paramount Skydances roster of talents. His latest film, Wicked: For Good, has broken box office records, earning over $756 million worldwide. Chu is also set to direct a Britney Spears biopic, a Hot Wheels movie, an animated Dr. Seuss adaptation, and another stage-to-screen musical, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
