Description
Cammi and AJ welcome Captain of the US Sled Hockey Team, Josh Pauls, onto the bus! Josh was born without tibia bones and had both his legs amputated at 10 months old. He convince his parents to join a sled hockey team and ended up making his debut on the US Team when he was only fifteen years old. Two years later, he won gold at the 2010 Vancouver Paralympics and was the youngest player on the team. In Sochi, Josh and his teammates went on to win another gold in 2014 and a third in 2018 in Pyeongchang.
Josh talks about his training on and off the ice, his Paralympic experience, how he transitioned from playing forward to defense, speaks about inclusion in the game of hockey, preparation for the 2022 Paralympics, how he got his nickname “Spuds” and much more!
Tune in for great stories from Josh, for this week’s #WeeklyWipeout, some Not So Rapid Rapid Fire, #AskCammiandAJ and a great conversation between AJ, Cammi and Josh.
Hop on the Bus!
