Your show host Robert with special guest Bob McKee. Bob returns for part II in the series talking about the 1968 Howmet Turbine TX race car that he and Ray Heppenstall designed. Four were built in total, two with red trim and two with blue trim. Two of the cars competed in the 24 Hr of Daytona and the 24hr at LeMans. The Howmet turbine cars were some of the more successful of the turbine powered race cars of the era. In 1969 one of the Howmet TX Turbine cars was used to test and set land speed records at Bonniville for promotional purposes.
