James Brown on organ, along with Henry Moore, Hank Marr, Clifford Scott, Jimmy Forrest, and Herb Hardesty, explodes on 12 scorching R&B instrumentals. King Records reissued these same tracks, the same year (1961), under the same catalog number as Jump Around. "Hold It" b/w "The Scratch," a "Night Train" soundalike, was the first single; it was followed by "Suds," "Cross Firing" (the B-side of "Lost Someone"), and "Night Train." These tracks have held up well and are as invigorating as ever. A sax, Brown's organ, and a bop-influenced bass dominate.
