Dr. Garrey Faller (Good Samaritan Hospital pathologist) confirmed Karen Reed’s BAC of .093 at 9 a.m. on January 29, 2022, over the .08 DUI limit; on cross, defense probed differences between hospital serum tests and forensic whole-blood analysis, and raised Reed’s anemia/MS (no anomalies flagged). Paramedic Jason Becker recounted Reed’s last angry words to her husband and her suicidal statement in the ambulance; cross revealed he didn’t examine her voicemail.
