Former Penn State head coach James Franklin was hired at Virginia Tech, where his good friend Brent Pry just got fired. The ties to the Prys go way back, because Franklin played for Brent’s dad in college. Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin seems to be up for the LSU and Florida coaching jobs, even though his Ole Miss team is going to make the CFB Playoffs for the first time. The only problem is that the governor of Louisiana recently called out Kiffin’s agent, which might not go over so well.
