*Guest: Kate Turkington – The OG of Storytelling & South African Broadcasting*



This week, we sit down with an undeniable icon — *Kate Turkington*. A legend of the airwaves, a fearless traveller, a master storyteller, and, dare we say, the *real OG of the rap game (you’ll see why)*.



Kate holds a *First Class Honours degree in English* from London University and an *MA Cum Laude** from Wits. She was the *first woman inducted into the MTN Radio Hall of Fame**, received the *Lifetime Achievement Award* at the 1st for Women Insurance Women in Media Awards, and was crowned **2019 Woman in the Media** at the Mbokodo Awards.



You might know her from **702/CapeTalk’s iconic “Believe It or Not”**, South Africa’s longest-running talk radio show in the same time slot with the same host. Today, she continues to inspire with her show **"Travels with Kate"** on ChaiFM 101.9 every Sunday at noon.



But don’t get it twisted — Kate’s done more than just talk.

She’s:
