Kevin D. Hall, PhD | “Calories, Carbs, or Quality: What Matters Most for Body Weight?”
Update: 2024-07-02
Description
Dr. Hall is the NIH Chief of the Integrative Physiology Section in the Laboratory of Biological Modeling at the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases. His laboratory studies the regulation of body weight and metabolism, the processes through which food is converted into the energy. They conduct experiments in both humans and rodents to better understand the complex mechanisms that control metabolism of macronutrients (proteins, fats, and carbohydrates), food choice and eating behavior, body weight and composition, and energy expenditure.
