In this episode of Logbook Memories, our friend Kirby tells the story of a trip he and his girlfriend took to Ingalls Field (KHSP), the highest public-use airport east of the Mississippi River. It's a very picturesque airport, but that's not the only reason they chose to go there.

Kirby is a member of a local flying club based out of Valkaria (X59) on Florida's Space Coast. He regularly flies the club Cessna 182 Skylane, and on this particular trip, he and his girlfriend were heading up to Virginia for Thanksgiving.
