Rod Rakic, founder of OpenAirplane and FlyOtto, tells the story of a flight he and his companions took from Opa Locka near Miami, FL down to Key West. And yes, there was pie.

Rod founded OpenAirplane with the goal of making renting an airplane as easy as renting a car. The mission: rent an airplane at an unfamiliar FBO, sight unseen, avoiding the red tape and typical "local checkout", fly somewhere awesome, and return the airplane without having to spend hours going over local procedures with an instructor from the FBO. And it worked.
