L@L 021: Native Station
Description
With their EP "Bones N' All", Native Station's eclectic blend of alternative-rock, pop, and reggae undertones will have you dancing and singing along to catchy choruses with a driving accompaniment.
Originating in Marion, Virginia, Greg Benton (Vocals/Rhythm Guitar) and Thomas Troutt (Lead Guitar) uprooted themselves for the diverse Colorado music scene. After meeting with Brett Cunningham (Bass), Nick Solga (Drums), and Brandon Clark (Keyboards), Native Station was formed. With their first EP "Bones N' All" released to favorable critique on Bolder Beat, the band then garnered radio play on iHeart Radio's 94.9 Locals' Lounge with their debut single "All My Friends."
In June of 2017, the band released a 17-track Mixtape, "shifty.SHIFTY ." Vibrant, electrifying, soulful, and comprised mostly of material played live in 2016, the mixtape embellishes on full orchestrations of the live band arrangements. After playing notable North Colorado venues such as The Aggie Theatre, Dickens Opera House, and Larimer Lounge, Native Station continues to write new material and are planning a tour in the Fall of 2018 to promote the release of their upcoming double-single Lightframe/TallTales.
