LA FIRES
Description
Find out about a heroic rescue and how the LA fires tragedy has led to a greater sense of closeness and hope for humanity as the City of Angels unites during its greatest time of need.
Months after the devastating Los Angeles fires, hundreds of children and their displaced families - including African-American communities - are still sifting through the ashes of their former lives.
Host Eleisha Foon speaks with school principal Vince Downey who played a crucial role in ensuring the safety of hundreds of children by organising a "walking school bus" to Santa Monica Beach.
We also hear from Mosaic South Pasadena Pastor Chad Brokaw and wife Yealee who immediately sprang into action during the Eaton fires. The couple had to evacuate their home with only the clothes on their backs, as flames threatened their neighbourhood. They have since been leading an army of over 600+ volunteers to help in they city's recovery, despite being displaced from their home.
