LSU Scandal, Title IX, Me Too, & Feminism with Caroline Schroeder
Update: 2021-04-15
Description
Ashley welcomes her first ever guest, Caroline Schroeder. Caroline is a survivor of sexual assault and had first-hand experience with Title IX when she was a student at LSU. Since graduating from LSU in May of 2020, she has worked as a freelance writer for philanthropic organizations, which she says has been useful as she continues to advocate for survivors and demand that LSU reform its policies for responding to sexual and domestic violence. In this episode, Caroline shares her story as a survivor of sexual assault and how dealing with Louisiana State University’s Title IX proceedings led to a bigger scandal. Ashley and Caroline discuss the differences of President Obama and President Trump’s Title IX policies, the Me Too movement, the notion of believe all women, and feminism.
