Laid Off? How About Turning That Hobby Into a Business!
Description
EP 20: Getting downsized from a job she didn't really love at age 48 was actually a gift in disguise for Allie Smith as it gave her the opportunity to turn her beloved hobby of knitting dog sweaters into an income-producing business.
Aside from being a dog owner to her three lovely whippets -- Ladybug, Radish, and Cheeky -- she is also the ‘Chief Executive Knitter’ at WhipKnits where her mission is to bring joy to dogs and dog owners with her fun, stylish, and functional knitwear.
Allie also has a freelance editing business, Whipsmart Editiorial, where she provides editing and proofreading services. It's impressive to see how she's used her creativity and wits to build businesses around her passions & skills!
