Description

Today, Sali sits down with Laura Modi, the woman changing the way we think about feeding babies.

The mother of four is the CEO and cofounder of Bobbie, an organic formula company that was born out of her own feeding frustrations after giving birth to her first child. In 2018, she officially set out to launch Bobbie as a direct-to-consumer, subscription-based company, and it would become the only mom-founded and -led infant formula brand in the world.

Bobbie has been at the forefront of supporting parents—and it’s in large part thanks to Laura’s leadership. But baby formula was not always the long-term plan for her, and in today’s episode, she’ll share:

  • why she left Ireland to work in Silicon Valley, and the major differences between the two.
  • the breastfeeding experience that left her feeling guilt-ridden yet inspired her to start Bobbie.
  • what it takes to create a product for the most vulnerable population—there’s zero room for error.
  • putting up the very first breastfeeding billboard in Times Square.
  • and why it fuels her when people describe her work as “cute.”
