Frantz M. Berthaud is the Administrative Director of Disease Center Operations at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI). He’s accountable for the personnel, finance, and clinical operations for the hospital's lung cancer and phase 1 centers. At DFCI, he serves as co-chair for the employee resource group shaping and informing the Institute’s diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) strategy and on the hospital’s ethics committee.
In today’s episode, we’ll be diving into Frantz’s career at Dana Farber, his involvement in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, advice to healthcare leaders on how they can (and should) advance these important and much needed efforts within their own organizations, and much more.
Frantz has over a decade of experience in healthcare, ranging from research, management, operations, to strategy. He teaches healthcare strategy at the graduate school level at Boston University School of Public Health (BUSPH) where he also serves on an advisory board. Frantz is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) serving as co-chair on the DEI and as a member of the programs committees.
In all of his roles, he applies a strategic and social justice lens informed by his commitment to health care equity.
