Learn About the Brain Diet
Description
What does that word diet mean to you? For me, traditionally it meant deprivation. Most often if we are talking about our diet, it’s about eliminating something, whether it be calories, points or a food group. Diet in fact can be both a noun and a verb, meaning we may have dieted or are dieting (verb, whereby we regulate our intake of food and nutrients) and diet with respect to the quality of the food we consume and its impact to our health (noun). And generally, diet is considered when losing or gain weight, lowering cholesterol or blood pressure, heart health and so on. Lately, the gut brain axis (GBA) or gut health is top of mind, but we don’t often think diet and its effect on our brain. For example, is it possible to connect our diet to how we manage anxiety or stress? The answer is in short yes, and this podcast will dive into how that’s possible.
