Learning NOT to get Defensive
Update: 2020-07-07
Description
It's very easy to get defensive from other peoples looks and comments to our children, especially our Special Needs Children.
I share the BEFORE, DURING, and AFTER stages of many experiences I encountered when I had my Special Needs Son, Logan.
- I was told by the Lord to pray twice a day to learn to control my body and my mind so that I would not have to use drugs during delivery.... I didn't understand until months after having Logan; "What would've happened if I did have an epidural?" I'm not against them, I was just intrigued why The Lord told me a descriptive suggestion.
- I felt like I was a failure when I was told that my son was partially deaf
- Learning to go with my Motherly Gut
- Through time, I learned, Its time to stop being defensive and start teaching
Be Patient, Teach others what your Special Needs Child has, Learn how you can Grow from these experiences.
