Over a 30-year military career, including a fellowship at Harvard and too many posts to mention, he wrapped up his illustrious career as head of Joint Special Operations Command, Commander of NATO Force, and Commander of NATO Forces in Afghanistan. Today, Stan writes New York Times best-selling books, serves on boards, teaches at Yale, and founded the McChrystal Group.
