Let's get you some more sales
Description
Hello and welcome to another episode of The Kid's Party Hustle Podcast.
I'm your host Brinie, firstly this podcast is being brought to you while I'm away, taking a little break. Sometimes I need to just pull away and recharge after a launch after a particularly hectic period,
I need to just go and sit in zero noise so I can think!
Why am I not making sales?
Now this week's podcast is all about why am I not making sales?
And this is not for you starting out... Although you can absolutely take some advice this is not for you starting out.
This episode is specifically targeted to women who have been running their business for a little while.
You do have an influx of bookings and you are selling but you're not generating the kind of sales that you either used to or are expecting at this level in your business.
And this one is motivation episode guys. Okay.
So if that is you, I want you to firstly know you've got this, but you've stopped doing something you have stopped pushing I see this time and time again. I've experienced it myself, right.
You start your business. You worry about your initial influx of sales so you do all the marketing things. Okay. And then the phone rings and you've essentially created an inbound marketing system
Awesome!
The phone rings without you really having to do anything.
You probably can run your business without socials without making phone calls.
People just come to you that phone rings, maybe you've got ads running, but then the volume decreases.
And I'm going to say it again, guys. It's because you've stopped pushing. You do have a lot of work coming in the door, but it's not enough.
I want you to listen carefully
I want you to listen very carefully to me.
You're not doing anything wrong.
But you stop trying. There's a good chance.
I'm gonna get you to ask yourself dig deep... Are you marketing like your first year? Or have you gotten a little bit lazy with the marketing because that phone rings.
Sometimes, when we've taken a break from marketing, it can feel really nerve wracking to push.
I get it!
You kind of feel like "it makes me seem desperate" or
you've forgotten how to put yourself out there because you're so used to people just reaching out to you
I get it.
But listen to me.
It's absolute codswallop. (I cannot use a swear word. Because I know some of you have kids listening while you listen to these.)
No, none of that is true. Those are just stories you're telling yourself.
I'm telling you the real issue.
You're in business.
This is your business.
Okay, roll up the sleeves, guys.
- You know this works;
- You know what you do is good;
- You know it works;
- It's been tried and tested;
- You know you're awesome at what it is you do - it's proven
and now have to go back, and find that fire in your belly and push.
Channel the "Wolf of Wall Street." Okay, that guy. Those movies you see when they're making sales calls.
You need to channel that inner energy and put yourself out there again.
The sales have dropped for a number of reasons. Okay.
The market Sure. Maybe you've got more competition out there now than you hadn't realized before so you've got a push.
Okay, maybe it's noisy out there as well.
Maybe you're now cheaper than you were and that's not a good look.
Maybe you're now the most expensive (which is totally fine) but you've got to prove why your business is worth that much money.
Okay, you got to roll up your sleeves, and you got to do it and you can do it.
You've done it once and you can absolutely do it again.
I know it's hard
I know it's hard.
But I promise you can do it.
And with just a few tweaks you will be back to where you were in no time but I know how you feeling.
I know it's frustrating. But we're doing it.
Right?! It's your baby.
It's your business.
You're not ready to stop it yet.
So it's time to keep going.
Okay, so you're gonna roll up your sleeves.
What I'm going to do is give you three things that I want you to think about and see whether or not you are doing okay.
And if you aren't, you probably have some other issues going on with your business (that could be pricing and whatnot)
But first and foremost, you need to push
Look at the sales currently coming in
Okay, so first things first, I want you to look at the sounds that are coming in.
Look at your stats,
Look at your numbers.
Those sales are coming in for a reason.
And I want you to do more of that.
Look at your most lucrative package
Okay, that's step one. Now, step two, is I want you to look at all your packages and your pricing and I want you to work out what is the most lucrative package, okay? The one that you make the most amount of money on and guess what guys?
You're going to promote that product or service
- Post about it on socials reach out to your clients.
- Send an email,
- Push that one product,
I'm not going to get you to get out there and do all of the things. We start with one small step each and every time. So you get out there and push that one product because once you get a few good runs under your belt, you'll relax and you'll feel more comfortable doing this.
Look at your business as a whole
And the third thing I want you to do, I want you to have a look at your business as a whole. I want you to look at the work that you can do without so much happening behind the scenes. Now this changes depending on each client.
So for example, my entertainers, sometimes they find that the parties can be a lot of hard work, right? The recurring revenue is where it's best, it's less taxing less energy, more money, more regular work, and it's easier. So I want you to look at that product.
For my Balloon Shops shots.
I know that they prefer to do certain setups they're more lucrative take less time than the run of the mill smaller packages that you know you make less money on because you've been doing this for a while now you're not new, you know your business.
You need to cut dead weight but you also need to have a look at what services you want to be doing what services generate you more income that require you to do less work, and you need to go out and push.
That that might actually mean starting a new Marketing Avenue, a new channel.
That might mean you need to reach out to people you've never reached out to before.
Business is ever evolving. That can be one of the most frustrating parts about it. But it's time to do that now.
I hope this helped.
And if you have any questions or you just need someone like me, in your brain in your head personally then book in a one on one power hour with me we can have a look at your business together. And you can walk away with some action items to really get out there and hit the ground running.
Someone told me that the last time they spoke to me "it was like a shot of caffeine in their business"
So if that's what you need, then honestly book a call and I would love to talk more about you and your party business specifically.
Have a great week everyone and I'll chat with you soon.
Cheers,
Brinie
