On January 27, 1945, the Soviet Red Army 322nd Rifle Division saved the lives of 7,000 Jews from the horrors of Auschwitz-Birkenau Labor and Death Camps where over a million Jews, Romani, and Communists were systematically exterminated or worked to death.
