Likewise (George Barber), March 26th, 2009
Update: 2009-04-14
Description
On this edition, we are joined by our good friend George Barber, who was the first performer to ever play on the program back in November, and to whom we owe A LOT of thanks. George performs under the name Likewise, amongst a casual Q&A session and a brief discussion of Keene, NH's local music scene. The show opens with a section of the Builders and the Butchers' track "At the Bottom of the Lake", chosen by George himself. This edition was originally the promotion show for the Grassroots Benefit Show, which was held in the Mabel Brown Room of the Keene State College Young Student Center on Friday, March 27th, and featured the following bands: Informnation, Lonesome Lake, The 123s, George Barber, Tell Stories, Affirmative Jackson, and Amargosa. The show was presented by WKNH and the Genocide Awareness Club, and raised around $225 in soley donations, all of which went to Global Grassroots (www.globalgrassroots.org).
