Lions POSTCAST: Detroit Lions BEAT Minnesota Vikings, Win NFC North, Earn #1 Seed, Jahmyr Gibbs 4 TD
Description
Detroit Lions beat Minnesota Vikings in a dominant victory 31-9 at Ford Field in Detroit on Sunday Night Football. Detroit Lions have won back to back division titles for the first time in the Super Bowl Era. Detroit Lions earn the NFC #1 seed and a first round bye in the NFL Playoffs. Jahmyr Gibbs scored 4 TDs, 3 on the ground and 1 receiving. Amik Robertson, Alex ANzalone and the Lions Defense shut down Justin Jefferson, Sam Darnold and the Minnesota Vikings offense.
Dan Campbell has led the Lions to a 15-2 record, the best season in Lions history.
Aaron Glenn helped orchestrate a brilliant defensive gameplan to earn the win.
Ben Johnson, Lions offensive coordinator helped lead a dominant Lions offense all season.
Jahmyr Gibbs was the standout performer, rushing for 139 yards and scoring three touchdowns, including a pivotal 25-yard run that set the tone early in the first quarter. Jared Goff contributed with a solid performance, completing 27 of 33 passes for 231 yards, with a touchdown pass to Gibbs. Despite two interceptions, Goff maintained control of the game, aided by Amon-Ra St. Brown's 77 receiving yards. The Lions’ defense, led by Alex Anzalone, kept Minnesota's offense at bay, limiting them to just field goals by their kicker Will Reichard. The win cements the Lions’ dominance at home as they prepare for the postseason, while the Vikings finish their season with a 14-3 record.
