Precious Minds supports children, youth, and adults with developmental challenges in North Durham.
The Skills for Life, Adult Day Program provides meaningful, daytime opportunities for adult participants and Lisa Cook, an HR professional, is assisting Precious Minds by helping these same participants find positions in the workforce.
We talk to Lisa about the positive possibilities that could stem from employing a person with special needs and she calms some of the big concerns that an employer might have about hiring a staff member who could change their business and maybe their life for the better.
