Lisa addresses the condition of her dogs
Description
Yesterday, all the animals in the house gathered around Finnegan and stood guard.
They knew, and we knew that he was in pain and getting weaker by the moment.
He was a favorite at PAWS Chicago and when they handed him to me at 8 weeks old, I knew he was smart and special. Absolutely, the best boy!
He couldn’t recover from the poisoning last week and today I had to make the decision to end his pain. The bloodwork, tests and support from Dr. Julie indicated it was the kindest thing I could do for my buddy. Nash refused to leave his side and made the trip to the vet with us and waited for me.
The last thing he ate? Hersey’s kisses! It made both of us feel better. I thought the candy was for humans until I read what was posted on the jar.
