Virtually all areas of human weakness - both outward weaknesses (addiction of all kinds, besetting sins, etc.) - and inward weakness (fears, loneliness, insecurities, unmet needs...) can be traced back to an ancient practice and sin. Idolatry. Or worshiping little stone people. But, idolatry has a promise attached to it that it cannot be delivered.
