Description
David Williams, Principal at Hancock Place High School. joins Megan Lynch to explain how his district developed a way to utilize classroom behavior scores to help improve academics. He says the students get two grades per class, academic, and HOWAL (Habit of Work and Learning) score. 'We are blessed with a very talented and dedicated teaching staff,' says Williams, 'our community was ready for change,' and readily bought into the new plan. He says schools from around the state have come into the district to study their model.
