Loki Wikipedia Whisper Readings Intro + Short Musings on Tiny-Homes (Re-Inspired)
Update: 2023-11-30
Description
I am currently re-obsessed with Norse Mythology after a long break of ...can't count how many years it's been. I am especially interested in the etymology of Loki (& in etymology in general, across genres & subjects...) & may read more about Loki &/or other Norse Gods & Goddesses, myths, & stories in the future! Also, this is just a side-note, but I am NO EXPERT in Norse Mythology. I just find it it very fascinating & have been awed by it since I was about 11, though, I can trace back my 1st introduction to Viking & Norse influences back to my really early childhood through the music of Eluveitie (shared with me by an older cousin) & I absolutely loved some of their songs & found the female vocals very empowering as a 5 to 7 year old. Anyway, there may be another episode recorded on whisper reading the Wikipedia of Eluveitie, but this one introduces the Wikipedia page of Loki & then I jump into talking about tiny homes lol Another obsession I got back into after watching Hack My Home on Netflix & observe & enjoy my newly renovated bathroom...It got me reflecting on the time I renovated an apartment unit through the help of volunteers (I fundraised for the whole thing myself) & I am missing that type of confidence? Energy? Stamina? Practice? Or just YOUTH? Lol I had back at age 17. I've changed so much since then & yet in some ways, I feel like my values have stayed the same-I still care about creativity, sustainability, & community. I think the state of the world right now could use a tiny home village/communes/co-housing/"radical" movement of the re-purposing of spaces to decrease the amount of waste in our ecology.

Anyway, I will share more on my reflections on all the ways I can live with less & what that might mean for me as an artist.... This one's just a short whispered Musings + Wiki intro episode on 2 recent explorations ☺️ Enjoy!

Also, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND LISTENING TO THE PODCAST CALLED NORDIC ANIMISM (hosted by a PhD Scholar, Rune) IF YOU'RE ALSO EQUALLY CONCERNED WITH THE ENVIRONMENT & OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH IT + ALL RELATIONSHIPS IN GENERAL (including human relationships). The perspectives shared on there are ones that I truly respect and believe as the reasons why Norse Mythology & the more indigenous Nordic Viking culture always fascinated me. I would like to explore more indigenous cultures in general now...including Native American, African, & other indigenous cultures. They knew how to live in harmony with nature! & in some ways (better than us "civilized" humans today)...they knew how to live with more reverence, respect, & honor for self-sovereignty amongst themselves & other humans! 💓
