Imagination time together with our 4 year old son :-)
I have been doing these (from Lolli and the Lollipop onwards) with our four year old son and we both absolutely love this fun imagination time together :-) He's even started to talk to Lolli as an individual and asks her questions and rushes off to get books to show her during the adventure. It's a really good age to do these adventures as our son loves using his imagination and stories so hopefully getting him introduced to concepts before they're a problem can help prepare the way for later.
This is 1 longer quest rather than 3 individual adventures as in previous volumes but I've still broken them up into 3 sets of lessons throughout. It tackles 1) feelings such as jealousy, sadness when things are broken and forgiveness, 2) keeping on trying even if it seems that you might not succeed and 3) trying different foods from different countries including superfoods. There are also some lovely recipes which we'll hopefully try out soon :-)
... is one long story rather than three shorter one like in the previous books
This last meditation adventure is one long story rather than three shorter one like in the previous books. We loved it just as much. Itâs got some great twists to the story and the lesson at the end is just so wonderful, especially how it summarises all the other adventures with Lolli so far. This is definitely one of our favorite adventures with Lolli so far. The illustrations are worth reading it alone. Plus the bonus recipes at the end are fantastic. They were easy for the kids to make and tasted yummy! Overall a great value book kids and parents alike will love.
The story was fine as a stand-alone
I received a free copy of this book via Hidden Gems and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The story was fine as a stand-alone. I can see where people would have enjoyed references to previous books but it wonât matter what order they are read in, it seems. The recipes are definitely not the easier recipes Iâve seen.
