Across the great world religions, there are many variations, but all seem to adhere to a belief that God is love, and that we are heirs to Divine Love, promised to us unconditionally as offspring of the Divine. Yet we somehow manage to live outside the gates of a love that could transform us, heal us at depth and truly set us free. We take the promise of grace and disbelieve that we could be loved unconditionally and compound the translation error as we fail to see the inherent goodness in others. How we navigate this paradox of having and not having Love comes down to a recognition of risk versus reward, discerning what is true from what is false, ingesting the wheat and releasing the chaff.
