Ro: În după-amiaza unei zile de toamnă, biblioteca universității era ocrotitor de caldă.
En: On an autumn afternoon, the university library was protectively warm.

Ro: Prin ferestrele mari, lumina pătrundea timidă, reflectându-se peste grămada de cărți.
En: Through the large windows, the light timidly entered, reflecting off the pile of books.

Ro: Frunzele ruginii se mișcau ușor afară, creând umbre jucăușe pe podeaua groasă de lemn.
En: The rusty leaves danced gently outside, creating playful shadows on the thick wooden floor.

Ro: Studenții studiau în liniște, concentrați la mesele răsfirate.
En: The students studied quietly, focused at the scattered tables.

Ro: Andrei era aşezat la o masă din colț, cufundat într-un teanc de cărți despre microeconomie.
En: Andrei was seated at a corner table, immersed in a stack of books about microeconomics.

Ro: Avea un scop clar: să absolve cu onoruri, fără distrageri.
En: He had a clear goal: to graduate with honors, without distractions.

Ro: Lângă el, Ileana se așeză, trăgând după ea un scaun și o mulțime de caiete colorate.
En: Next to him, Ileana sat down, dragging behind her a chair and a collection of colorful notebooks.

Ro: Avea un zâmbet cald, iar ochii ei verzi străluceau de energie.
En: She had a warm smile, and her green eyes sparkled with energy.

Ro: "Salut, Andrei," spuse Ileana cu o voce prietenoasă.
En: "Hello, Andrei," said Ileana in a friendly voice.

Ro: "Te văd des pe aici.
En: "I see you around here often.

Ro: La ce lucrezi atât de atent?"
En: What are you working on so intently?"

Ro: Andrei ridică privirea surprins, puțin stingherit de compania neașteptată.
En: Andrei looked up surprised, a bit embarrassed by the unexpected company.

Ro: "Sunt... concentrat pe examene.
En: "I'm... focused on exams.

Ro: Vreau să iau cele mai bune note," răspunse el timid.
En: I want to get the best grades," he replied shyly.

Ro: Ileana zâmbi din nou.
En: Ileana smiled again.

Ro: "Și eu, dar găsesc că uneori e bine să ne mai relaxăm.
En: "So am I, but I find it good to relax sometimes.

Ro: Te-ar interesa să luăm o pauză și să povestim puțin?"
En: Would you like to take a break and chat a little?"

Ro: Andrei ezită.
En: Andrei hesitated.

Ro: Gândurile îi erau împărțite între dorința de a face o pauză și convingerea că trebuie să rămână concentrat.
En: His thoughts were split between the desire to take a break and the belief that he needed to stay focused.

Ro: Totuși, după insistențele lui Costin, colegul său care de multe ori îl îndemna să fie mai sociabil, se hotărî să accepte invitația.
En: Yet, after the insistence of Costin, his colleague who often encouraged him to be more sociable, he decided to accept the invitation.

Ro: Timpul trecu repede în conversația lor.
En: Time passed quickly in their conversation.

Ro: Descoperiră că aveau mult în comun, de la pasiunea pentru lectură, până la dragostea pentru călătorii.
En: They discovered they had much in common, from a passion for reading to a love of travel.

Ro: Între timp, Costin urma să apară și el pentru studiu, însă zâmbi complice când îi văzu împreună.
En: Meanwhile, Costin was supposed to show up for study as well, but he smiled conspiratorially when he saw them together.

Ro: Pe măsură ce se lăsa întunericul, un scurtcircuit făcu ca bibliotecii să i se taie curentul.
En: As darkness fell, a short circuit caused the library's power to cut out.

Ro: Dintr-odată, liniștea fu însoțită de un întuneric complet.
En: Suddenly, the silence was accompanied by complete darkness.

Ro: În acea clipă, îndrăzneala Ileanei păru să-l cuprindă și pe Andrei.
En: At that moment, Ileana's boldness seemed to envelop Andrei as well.

Ro: O atmosferă magică se instală.
En: A magical atmosphere settled in.

Ro: "Nu mi-e frică de întuneric," spuse Ileana încet.
En: "I'm not afraid of the dark," Ileana said softly.

Ro: "Mi se pare un moment bun să reflectăm."
En: "I think it's a good moment to reflect."

Ro: Andrei zâmbi, iar mâna lui se apropie ușor de a ei.
En: Andrei smiled, and his hand gently approached hers.

Ro: "Ai dreptate.
En: "You're right.

Ro: Mulțumesc că ai avut răbdare să mă scoți din cuibul meu de cărți."
En: Thank you for having the patience to draw me out of my nest of books."

Ro: Când curentul reveni, universul lor mic era deja schimbat.
En: When the power returned, their little universe was already changed.

Ro: Între paginile de hârtie și rafturile ticsite de cărți, se creaseră noi punți.
En: Between the paper pages and the bookshelves packed with books, new bridges had been created.

Ro: Andrei găsi curajul de a începe ceva nou, ceva ce nu era trecut în niciun curriculum.
En: Andrei found the courage to start something new, something not listed in any curriculum.

Ro: În ziua următoare, bibliotecarul i-a surprins din nou împreună.
En: The next day, the librarian caught them together again.

Ro: Mâinele lor mai întâlneau acum și alte cărți, dar și mângâierea celuilalt.
En: Their hands now met not only other books but also each other's touch.

Ro: Andrei descoperise că un echilibru între studiu și relații îi aducea nu doar succes, ci și o bucurie profundă.
