Coming into this world, he  was fatherless, and the youngest of three. Life in Medellin, Colombia wasn’t easy. His mother was 25 years old, addicted to cocaine, and didn’t have any interest in taking care of her three kids. When Luis was five years old his mother was murdered. Luis was homeless for three years until he was finally adopted. Luis's life was transformed! He had a mother, father, and was surrounded by a loving family in America.  Soon after though, his adopted parents divorced. Luis was left confused and feeling like he couldn’t rely on love. Luis made up he mind that love doesn’t last and turned to spirituality for the connection I was seeking. For nearly a decade, Luis devoted his life to becoming a monk.
