About MANTRAP
MANTRAP WAS PUT TOGETHER BY A GROUP OF FRIENDS DURING THE EARLY 70'S. WITH THE HELP OF THE POPULAR MIAMI BAND "THE ANTIQUES", MANTRAP REACHED STARDOM QUICKLY. MANTRAP PLAYED AT LOCAL ROCK DANCES CALLED BACK THEN "OPEN HOUSES" AND DREW VERY LARGE CROWDS. MANTRAP ALSO PERFORMED AT SWEET FIFTEEN PARTIES, SCHOOL DANCES AND PROMS. IN 1975 MANTRAP RECORDED AND RELEASED THEIR FIRST ALBUM SIMPLY TITLED "MANTRAP" THE ALBUM WAS MOSTLY ROCK MUSIC WHICH WAS THE POPULAR STYLE AT THE TIME. THE NEXT COUPLE OF YEARS MANTRAP RELEASED IT'S SECOND ALBUM IN 1977 TITLED "DISCO FANTASY" DISCO MUSIC WAS SWEEPING THE NATION AND MANTRAP SWITCHED STYLES TO PLEASE THEIR FANS. DISCO MUSIC WAS FABULOUS FOR MANTRAP. IT TOOK THEM TO NEW HEIGHTS AND MADE THEM MORE POPULAR THAN OTHER LOCAL BANDS. MANY MUSICIANS HAVE PLAYED FOR MANTRAP THROUGH THE YEARS AND THEY WERE ALL SPECIAL TO THE BAND AND IT'S SUCCESS. IN 2008 MANTRAP RELEASED THREE SONGS FROM THE UPCOMING NEW CD TITLED "LOST MEMORIES" WHICH CONTINUES TO BE A HUGE SUCCESS ON YOUTUBE. MORE SONGS WILL BE RELEASED SOON AND THE CD WILL BECOME AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE TO THE PUBLIC.
