IN A DAY OF EASY BELIEVISM, LIKE IN AMERICA TODAY, IT CAN BE COMPARED TO THE 2008 FINANCIAL CRISIS IN WHICH OUR BANKS, GIVING OUT HOME LOANS TO BUYERS WHO COULD NOT AFFORD THEM, EVENTUALLY LED TO THE COLLAPSE OF BANKS WHEN THE BANKS HAD TO FORECLOSE ON ENOUGH OF THEIR MORTGAGES. LIKEWISE WHEN OUR CHURCHES BECOME SANTA CLAUS, HANDING OUT SALVATION ON A FREEWILL DECISION TO ANY AND ALL, REGARDLESS OF THE AGE, OUR CHURCHES BECOME FILLED WITH COUNTERFEIT CHRISTIANS AND GO ON TO PRODUCE COUNTERFEIT PASTORS TUMBLING OUR AMERICAN CHURCHES INTO SPIRITUAL BANKRUPTCY AND CONSEQUENTLY OUR NATION IS IN A MORAL MELTDOWN. IF WE ASK OUR FASTFOOD FREEWILL FRIENDS AND THEOLOGIANS WHO IS TO BLAME FOR THIS MORAL MELTDOWN IN AMERICA THE MOST COMMON ANSWER THEY GIVE IS, THAT IT IS THE LAST TIMES, WHEN FISHERMAN JOHN WAS TELLING HIS FLOCK THAT THEY WERE IN THE LAST TIMES: 1JOHN 2: [18] Little children, it “IS” the LAST TIME: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby WE KNOW that it “IS” the LAST TIME. THUS GEORGE WASHINGTON, JOHN ADAMS, THOMAS JEFFERSON, JAMES MADISON, GEORGE WHITEFIELD, JONATHON EDWARDS WERE ALL IN THE LAST TIME WHEN THE GREATEST NATION KNOWN TO MANKIND WAS ESTABLISHED IN THE 1700’S AND THE LAST TIMES CERTAINLY DID NOT HINDER THEM. IF WE THINK OF THE SUN AS THE CHURCH AND THE MOON AS AMERICA, THE IMMORAL STATE OF AMERICA IS SIMPLY A REFLECTION OF THE INCREDIBILITY OF THE DOMINANT CHURCHES IN AMERICA, AND WHO MIGHT THAT BE THAT BLANKET AMERICA SPIRITUALLY, BUT THE FASTFOOD FREEWILL THEOLOGIANS, WHEREAS IN THE 1700’S THE BONDAGE OF THE WILL CHURCHES ALONG WITH THE BONDAGE OF THE WILL COLLEGES OF DIVINITY, LIKE HARVARD, YALE, AND PRINCETON, WHERE MANY OF OUR POLITICAL LEADERS WERE SCHOOLED, WERE DOMINANT. IN THIS SERMON BY GEORGE WHITEFIELD, HE SPEAKS TO THE DANGER OF THE FALSE CHURCH UPON A NATION AND GOES ON TO HELP US AS AMERICANS TO DETERMINE WHETHER OR NOT WE ARE A COUNTERFEIT CHRISTIAN OR NOT. GEORGE WHITEFIELD WRITES: As God can send a nation or people no greater blessing than to give them faithful, sincere, and upright ministers, so the greatest curse that God can possibly send upon a people in this world, is to give them over to blind, unregenerate, carnal, lukewarm, and unskilled guides. And yet, in all ages, we find that there have been many wolves in sheep's clothing, many that daubed with untempered mortar, that prophesied smoother things than God did allow. As it was formerly, so it is now; there are many that corrupt the Word of God and deal deceitfully with it. It was so in a special manner in the prophet Jeremiah's time; and he, faithful to his Lord, faithful to that God who employed him, did not fail from time to time to open his mouth against them, and to bear a noble testimony to the honor of that God in whose name he from time to time spake. If you will read this prophecy, you will find that none spake more against such ministers than Jeremiah, and here especially in the chapter out of which the text is taken, he speaks very severely against them — he charges them with several crimes; particularly, he charges them with covetousness: says he in the 13th verse, ‘from the least of them even to the greatest of them, every one is given to covetousness; and from the prophet even unto the priest, every one dealeth false.’ And then, in the words of the text, in a more special manner, he exemplifies how they had dealt falsely, how they had behaved treacherously to poor souls: says he, ‘They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace, when there is no peace.
