Walking My Way: My Friends See Me Off For The Camino de Santiago... It's finally time! I'm going on the Camino Santiago (read below) and I want to hear what my friends have to say about it... behold... eight interviews with my besties to see what they really think...
I hope through this intro episode you will get an idea of what I'm like and what I'm about to do :)
I'm Ruby, I'm 22 and I live in London. I graduated from Cambridge last year and have been working in TV production since. I'm taking time off work to go on the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage across France and Spain (I’m doing the full Camino Frances). I will be walking 800 km as a female solo traveller, completely untrained (in fact with a hip injury). This journey has been a dream of mine since I was 15, when I read The Pilgrimage by Paulo Coelho. I wouldn’t say I’m religious, but I do have some sort of relationship with spirituality, which I am hoping to explore on this trip. Stay tuned for an episode for every day of my journey, which I will be walking for over a month. From the practical, emotional, historical and spiritual, to the deep connections (and blisters) I’m expecting to make, you will hear it all. Buen camino!
