Make Your Work Worth It
Description
***Make Your "Work" Worth It***
Unless you value hard work regardless of the fruit that it bears (which is a value I'd advising dropping), how do you know if your "Work" is worth it?
Like an investment of money, the expenditure of Physical, Mental, Emotional, or other types of effort are investments of our precious time and energy. When we invest money, we'd like to see a return of more than we put in. Similarly we'd like to get more than we put in for all types of "work."
"Work" goes beyond just what you do as your primary means to earn income. "Work" is involved in caring for your body, deciding how to spend your time, relating with other people, and many other activities.
When "work" is spent on something aligned with your values then it will flow and feel easy. When the "work" leaves you drained, agitated, and questioning "Why do I do this?" then it's likely not in alignment with your values and it's time to put that "work" elsewhere.
I recently had to do this with a friendship and potential coaching client and it's allowed for me to enjoy the fruits of my "work" going into people and projects that light me up instead of dull my shine. I explain more in the podcast episode.
