Making Dreams Possible: The Sacrifice of Blood, Sweat, and Tears
Description
The French social scientist de Tacqueville wrote on his discoveries of how Americans lived during the early years of formation of the United States. What he discovered was what would be later be called the American Dream, a pursuit to do things more efficiently, to get more, out of doing less. However, our society has taken that dream and gone further. That is to do little to nothing, but reap the benefits of others. In this episode, we will discuss how such ideals are causing negative effects in our communities and our nation's economy; likewise, how sacrifice and going the extra mile can be a greater impact of good.
