In this forty-first episode of SCDP's ECHO podcast, the host Dr. Gavin Harris reviews the Region IV Special Pathogens of Concern Situation Report. Panelists Dr. Jessica Howard-Anderson, Dr. Sheetal Kandiah, and CAPT Alice Guh review a case of Carbapenem-Resistant Enterobacterales (CRE), and discuss the epidemiology of CRE, mechanisms, and diagnostic and treatment options for CRE. This session also addresses CRE and ESBL-E from the public health perspective. Audience questions are addressed via a Q&A discussion. This is the recording of our live ECHO session, held on 4.11.24.
