JamraPatel is a studio creating innovative typeface systems for use in under-served communities around the world. Run by Mark Jamra and Neil Patel, JamraPatel uses research and historical knowledge to create useful designs that are respectful of the needs and cultures of specific language communities. For TypeCraft, Mark and Neil went behind the scenes of Kigelia, a typeface system created by JamraPatel that provides typographic richness and technical functionality previously unavailable for several languages on the African continent.
