Description

Non-profit co-founder Linda Carey is referred to as a unicorn in the medical community. More than 11 years after being diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer, Linda shares how she and her husband, commercial photographer Bob Carey, approached her bout with cancer and their desire to provide financial and emotional support to other patients. She discusses the mindset through which they expanded The Tutu Project from an overnight sensation into a movement that galvanizes individuals and communities to “#DARE2TUTU.” In identifying how Bob Carey Photography provided a launching pad for their nonprofit, Linda illustrates how for-profits can branch out to serve an integration of personal, family and organizational missions. You’ll gain insights from the resourcefulness and conviction that led Bob and Linda to self-publish a book en route to garnering international funding. Both as a couple and as collaborators in entrepreneurship, they offer a possibilities perspective on quality of life.
