Description
There has been a massive illegal building project by the Palestinians in the Israeli-controlled areas “C” in the West Bank, including high-rise buildings overlooking Israeli communities and strategic sites, erected without permits or authorization. Regavim, a land-use watchdog movement, has petitioned authorities to halt this construction. Naomi Kahn the Director of International Division at Regavim, said that over one hundred thousand illegal structures were built in area C, including multi-story buildings in Walaja near Jerusalem. But, she told reporter Arieh O’Sullivan that there has been a turning point and that demolitions are increasing. (photo: Regavim)
